Subject: Nanixon's Animations: Another practice Sat Feb 01, 2014 10:58 am
Hey, I`m NANIXON as you probably could have guessed from the title above... Anyway, welcome to my thread! Enjoy yourself here and these are the details:
I`m going to be using Postimage.org to link my animations, if this causes problems, please tell me. And I will be using Pivot 4 cuz I`m lazy, as you will hear frequently...
I will also be up for doing joint animations with anyone. It could be fun to exchange some pointers (and maybe .stks ;p), however, I can only work on one at a time so I`ll tell you when I`m available In my signature below.
Due to IMGweb screwing up AGAIN, I've had to re-upload some of my animations. BUT I have only re-uploaded the ones that I felt are decent enough to be kept on this thread to preserve time that I just don't have. This also means that they will no-longer be chronologically listed (in order of appearance/release).
Look familiar?: nothing much to say here, just another practice...
My Equilibrium Application: As one or two of you may know, I have an RHG on Stickpage. Now, Turquoise has asked me to join his clan, I accepted. but I needed to create an application animation to prove my skills to Turquoise to see if he really thought I was right for the clan. The ending looks slightly rushed I think ._. damnit... ps: it was requested that altered Nan be here ;D https://2img.net/h/s16.postimg.cc/7ybm2nbfp/App.gif
Failed DDCXII: Yeh, I'm afraid my DDCXII entry failed miserably... I think the reason I don't like it is because It was kinda choppy through the whole of the first part and my reactions were off and I couldn't really fix it... anyway, If DDCXIII manifests, I'll definitely be putting something in https://2img.net/h/s21.postimg.cc/ur25kj18n/Gawly.gif
Latest Project Preview: And as a certain evil genius with an IQ of 300 once said, "I now present my latest and greatest creation", I present a preview to a new animation I'm working on and I know that the movements etc are a bit jagged and the blood's horrible, But I haven't cleaned it up yet (camera transitions, smoother easing and flow etc, fixing that horrible death by shriken flop etc. This is all for now, I'll try to update more regularly but Exams are starting in about a month so I'll be revising still... https://2img.net/h/s27.postimg.cc/scyiw6y1f/Demo_1.gif
PARKOUR EFFECTS TEST THING: This is just a speed effects test and also just to see if I actually could parkour with a stickfigure. enjoy biggrin.png I also fixed those awkward frames so... yeah https://2img.net/h/s2.postimg.cc/5on12twmh/Can_t_keep_up_gif.gif
LIGHT VS DARK: FINALLY FINISHED!!! The joint with AmirKenan ALL CREDIT FOR BASE FIGURES GO TO Krustalien.

Dark blue text on a dark grey background is hard to read.

very much so. but i love your animations. you seem to have placed yourself in the right category as well. but with practice, im sure you'll be middle man in no time.

For your DDC, I liked the 3-d run in the beginning, along with the overall pacing and movements of the people, especially with the slow-mo. The subtle 3-d was nice too. Though there places where it was choppy, I think I mostly wanted to see more dynamic camera movements, kind of fitting to the actions taking place like the slow mo moments where the camera would move with the direction the hit was with. For your animations overall, I think they have good movements, especially the Senzo's combo thing that was well animated in all parts. With a bit more practice and tweaking, I think middle man maybe a viable option.

Behemoth pretty much covered everything here, just a few bugs here and there but nothing big, one thing that popped up for me were the poses, they seemed a little bit off, just try and add a little realism to em'. The 3-D run was great, and it was pretty enjoyable since I'm guessing you don't have much experience with angles, but it was pretty good. Overall you're doing pretty good, you've almost got all the basics down, just a little more practice and you'll be intermediate. Keep it up

lol ok lemme give you some good CC*cracks fingers*
your newest animation was actually really good, definitely borderline middle man. i felt the power in that kick , kick uppercut but the single individual uppercut lacked that same feeling. for sure, and the electricity was done fairly well. when the light is heading towards the stk on the ground, you nailed it with the yellow glow around his body, but what would've sold the intensity of the light more would have been a steadily growing shadow.

Thanks Xavier I'll have a look and see how I can fix that power in the uppercut I had never thought about a shadow, thanks for the idea ;D

I'm just going to say it and say that I love the blurs, probably because I use them like that all the time but yeah, I definitely liked the animation other than some few bits of weird spacing, mostly in the close up scene.

Thanks Behemoth, glad you liked the blurs
I'll have a look to see what's making the spacing awkward

That was really cool, I love the way you use blur effects, I would just say that shouldn't bend their body so much, the poses seemed a bit too tight. Try and loosen up a bit and show some power in the punches (with either a strong reaction o the punch or/and a tremor), keep it up.

thanks peeps, I might continue this to about 150-200 frames depending on how much I have to do this week, so hopefully I'll be able to keep this up ;D I'll try and loosen up the body when I carry on with it

Are the images showing for you? (they're fine for me) I don't tend to put my newest animation in my update post, just in the original post.
