Amir's Thread

Hey, nice to meet you all, I known as Amir\Amirkenan on DD, Shuniu and AA.
This place looks cool, I'll try to stay active here, but I'm a member on other forums so I'm not sure I'll always be.

When I try to edit the clour or size so I have I can't do it all in one time, I need to change the colour, then save, and then open it again, to change to size and then save it again.

What? Even with my entry I'm sure it was an intermediate, well okay, I'll make some new animations soon.

I honestly don't think it was intermediate, your movements need more polishing before you reach the rank imo. They looked weak and stiff at times, but I know it's hard to animate swords dynamically.
But your scene choosing and execution of them was great though. Just work on your movements, mostly the dynamic feel and power showing without the need off effects and whatnot.

I really liked the direction you took your BBODD in. Your style in it reminds me of how flash animators animate for some reason.
As for your newest one, the movements looked pretty good to me, but that third kick from the red guy looked weird in general. The level of the terrain that they were fighting on was really inconsistent, though there isn't anything specifically wrong with that. I think you should try and add more realistic weight distribution to your punches towards the end. It looks like he doesn't have much foward momentum because he is steadily progressing forward and has a straightened back. Rather than progressively arching forward, and gaining momentum.
Keep it up though man, I can see you being in inters soon

That was better, way better. If you could have showed that quality on movements on the previous animation you would've gotten intermediate easily. It still looks pretty weak to me. There's so many punches being thrown that it feels like if he was just flailing his arms though. you need to show more character to your movements to show more power. The last reaction looks wrong too cause he was hit in the face and it looks like he grabs his stomach.
The slow motion was really nice though. Keep that quality up.

Weak. understanding the meaning of that word under any pivot circumstances is a nice challenge to me. Weak. Less frames with combos? More effects? Maybe the figures should be more expressive with their movements? Less effects? Too much flow? Faster frame rate? Editing can be fun.

very fluid indeed. the power behind it can be shown through very small tremors at each impact. I'm sure adding. floor might also help. but I feel like your definitely intermediate quility if you can take what you did I'm that and make it a Tad bit longer.

that canvas and pivot header is not normally used. TAL is one word. and the mouse is not as glitchy when you try to move it around. Use TAL as one word from Cressel or Jojishi's thread.

I like the fighting on this one, but it feels you just do fighting because the sake of it, there's nothing original or nice in it. That may sound harsh, but everyone can do fights and you need to show something people haven't yet seen. Your normal movements seem weird, low gravity or something. I like that you have some cinematic stuff there, but it makes the actual stuff look like filler.

tl;dr fighting's good, needs variation. Cinematics are good, but fighting looks boring.
